Christopher Lucas DOOriginally from Wilkes-Barre, PA, Dr. Lucas received his doctor of osteopathy from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Lucas completed his General Surgery residency at Kennedy Memorial Hospitals-University Medical Center in Stratford, NJ and completed a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI. He is certified in both General and Vascular Surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Dr. Lucas has practiced in Clarksville since 2003. He enjoys spending time with his family, swimming, classic car restoration, NASCAR and history.

Vascular Surgery
Dr. Lucas offers comprehensive evaluation and management of disorders of the circulatory system. He performs diagnostic studies, catheter-based procedures such as balloon angioplasty, atherectomy, stent and stent-graft placement and surgical repair or bypass operations. Common vascular conditions treated by Dr. Lucas include:

    Carotid Artery Narrowing: Evaluation of the carotid arteries for atheroscierotic narrowing and Carotid Endarterectomy for stroke prevention.

General Surgery
Dr. Lucas offers a wide range of general surgery procedures including treatments of:

    Breast Disorders: Complete evaluation, management and surgery for a wide range of breast disorders. Dr. Lucas performs minimally invasive as well as surgical biopsy procedures. Advanced breast cancer procedures include breast conservation options with lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node procedures, as well as mastectomy.

    Hernia: Evaluation and management of all types of hernias including umbilical, inguinal, ventral and incisional with both minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures and open surgical techniques.

    Gastrointestinal Problems: Evaluation and surgery, including scoping procedures of the GI tract for stomach, intestinal, colon and rectal disease.

    Appendicitis: Office and emergency evaluation of abdominal pain for appendicitis. Both laparoscopic and open surgical techniques are used for appendectomy.
